It's been a tough season for Titans coach Jeff Fisher, who has battled with QB Vince Young and a six-game losing streak. But now owner Bud Adams is unhappy, saying he'll take a close look at things at the end of the season.

Jeff Fisher might be the longest-tenured head coach in the NFL, but all of a sudden his future with the Tennessee Titans is looking pretty tenuous.

With a six-game losing streak and an irreparable relationship with quarterback Vince Young on his plate, Fisher might not have the job security he wants in Nashville, according to the Tennessean newspaper.

Fisher is in his 16th full season and is under contract through 2011, but team owner Bud Adams expressed his displeasure with the Titans’ last-place standing in the AFC South and is giving no assurances about his coach.

“I am not too happy right now, I'll tell you that,” Adams said, according to the Tennessean’s Jim Wyatt. “But I think it is too early to talk about it. We have three more games to go and I'll be able to talk a lot better after those three games.

“We'll go up to the end of the season and then I'll make my decision. I am not very pleased with what has happened here, though. It's not what I had in mind.”

No surprise there. The Titans started the season 5-2 and had visions of the playoffs. But now they’re in a state of disarray, with Young on injured reserve and backup QB Kerry Collins having missed two games. Young and Fisher have been at odds for several years, and it’s likely one of them will go.

“You can't blame (Fisher) when you don't have your key guys playing,” Adams said. “But I have to look at the whole picture and what has been happening since we have been in Nashville, what our record is, where we stand in the league. That is important.”

Fisher has said he wants Tennessee to be his only head coaching stop. But if his stay in Nashville ends, he clearly won’t lack for job offers.
