New England Patriots defensive lineman Albert Haynesworth plead no contest to simple assault today, a legal outcome that could trigger discipline under the NFL personal conduct policy.

The case stems from Haynesworth allegedly inappropriately touching a waitress while paying his bill.

According to reports, Haynesworth has to complete 160 hours of community service and take part in an alchohol abuse assessment and a psychological assessment.

“I do not contest the goverment’s proffer of facts,” Haynesworth said in court, per the Washington Post. For more coverage of the Patriots, go to Patriot Insider at www.nwe.scout.com
