"He's going to be alright and we'll see if we can get him ready for the game," Gailey said in remarks distributed by the team. "He's got a pretty good chance to be ready for the game. He got kicked in the calf. There's no such thing as a freak play in football like that.
"All of those things happen from time to time, as it has probably happened somewhere before. But it's on the other leg than the one he hurt. I think he's going to be fine. It's more bruised than anything."
Added Dareus: "I'm fine. It's just precautionary. I just want to take it easy. I tweaked my ankle a little bit. I don't want to take any chances. I just want to relax, do some treatment and ice it up. I'm just being safe. I got kicked in the back of the leg on a play. We were both taking inside moves and I got kicked in the calf. So, we're just getting it together. I think I'm going to play but we won't know until that day."
Meanwhile, linebacker Reggie Torbor was placed on injured reserve one day after the Jaguars signed linebacker Kirk Morrison.
The Bills have brokered an injury settlement with defensive back Domonic Cook, releasing him from injured reserve.
