Cincinnati Bengals cornerback Adam "Pacman" Jones is expected to start the season on the physically unable to perform list.

Jones is still recovering from surgical procedures to repair a herniated disc in his neck. “They said they don’t know, but most likely,” Jones told Cincinnati reporters. “Nothing is set in stone. The doctor told me I was healed.

“Hopefully they’re going to (PUP) me because it’s a long-term thing and not just for this season. They want me healthy for not just this season. That’s the way I’m looking at it." Although the Bengals have Leon Hall and Nate Clements at cornerback after Johnathan Joseph went to the Houston Texans, Jones could be a nice midseason addition if his neck comes along. He's also valuable on special teams because of his speed and return skills.
