The Denver Broncos have placed defensive end Ty Warren on injured reserve due to a torn triceps muscle suffered during the preseason. They filled his roster spot with running back Jeremiah Johnson being promoted from the practice squad since Knowshon Moreno is dealing with a hamstring injury.

The Broncos signed Warren to a two-year, $8 million contract, but he got hurt during the preseason. Now, the former New England Patriots starter is out for the season. Warren didn't play last year due to a hip injury. For more coverage of the NFL, go to profootball.scout.com. Follow me on Twitter: @RavensInsider
