DT Eric Foster dislocates ankle

Indianapolis Colts defensive tackle Eric Foster suffered a dislocated right ankle Monday night against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and is undergoing surgery to repair the damage. He remained in Tampa Bay overnight after being carted off the field.

Foster got stuck in the pile and twisted his ankle. He was in obvious pain as he was taken off the field.

"You never want to see guys go down, especially Eric," Colts defensive end Dwight Freeney said. "The way he went down was pretty ugly, and it just shows everybody what the game of football really is. No matter how we want to pretty it up, it's still a violent game and those things happen."
