Rosenfels' contract with the New York Giants was terminated, removing him from injured reserve.
Now, Rosenfels is rejoining his old team.
He has passed for 30 touchdowns and 29 interceptions in a decade in the NFL, completing 62.5 percent of his throws.
The Dolphins have time to get Moore ready to start. They don't play again until Oct. 17 against the New York Jets following a bye.
Moore completed 17 of 26 throws for 167 yards and an interception during the winless Dolphins' loss to the San Diego Chargers.
The Dolphins have rookie quarterback Pat Devlin on the practice squad.
Henne is in a contract year and completed 57.1 percent of his throws for 868 yards, four touchdowns and four interceptions before his season was ended prematurely.
