Broncos O, Franklin excused from practice

Denver Broncos rookie offensive tackle Orlando Frankin was excused from practice after his younger brother died.

"Thanks guys for all your prayers for my little brother," Franklin wrote on his Twitter account. "Its a shame that he had to die at 20." Added Broncos spokesman Patrick Smyth: "Orlando was excused from afternoon meetings to deal with a family matter." Franklin has started every game this season for the Broncos since being drafted in the second round out of the University of Miami.

It's unclear if Franklin will return to play this weekend against the San Diego Chargers.
