The trade reunites Lloyd with former Broncos coach Josh McDaniels, the Rams' offensive coordinator.
Lloyd is making $1.395 million this season, but is expected to negotiate an extension with the Rams.
Lloyd led the NFL in receiving yards last season with 1,488 yards on 77 receptions for 11 touchdowns.
So far this year, he has caught 19 passses for 283 yards.
The Rams will also get wide receiver Mark Clayton back off the physically unable to perform list this week.
This shapes up as a rebuilding year for the one-win Broncos who have recently shifted to Tim Tebow as their new starter.
