Vikings suspended Chris Cook without pay
He missed the Vikings' game against the Green Bay Packers, remaining in jail over the weekend.
"There's always two sides to a story!!" Cook wrote on his Twitter account. "My apologies to the fans! Vikings ownership, coaching staff, my teammates and friends and family!!"
Cook was arrested in March for brandishing a gun during an argument, but was acquitted of the charge.
