The Vikings issued a statement tonight referencing "very disturbing and disappointing" allegations, adding that the former second-round draft pick is "suspended without pay from the team while we continue to gather information regarding the situation."
He missed the Vikings' game against the Green Bay Packers, remaining in jail over the weekend.
"There’s always two sides to a story!!” Cook wrote on his Twitter account. “My apologies to the fans! Vikings ownership, coaching staff, my teammates and friends and family!!”
Cook was arrested in March for brandishing a gun during an argument, but was acquitted of the charge.
