Larry English placed on IR

The San Diego Chargers placed outside linebacker Larry English on injured reserve today due to a foot injury. They signed offensive tackle Stephen Schilling from the practice squad to the active roster. San Diego re-signed running back Jordan Todman to the practice squad. English suffered a foot injury in last week’s game in New York. He had 3 1/2 sacks in his last seven games.

A sixth-round pick out of Michigan, Schilling spent the first seven weeks of the season on the practice squad.

Todman was inactive for the first five games of the season, then released before the New York Jets game to make room on the roster for running back Curtis Brinkley.
