Tanard Jackson signed to an extension

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have signed safety Tanard Jackson to a one-year, $3.25 million contract extension that includes a $200,000 roster bonus on the first day of the 2012 league year, according to a league source with knowledge of the situation..

Jackson is due a $2 million base salary next year and a $1 million base salary this season. Jackson was reinstated after the fifth game of this season by the NFL following a suspension for violating the league's substance abuse policy.
