The Cincinnati Bengals activated running back Cedric Benson from a roster exemption following his one-game suspension for violating the NFL personal conduct policy. Benson is the Bengals' rushing leader with 458 yards. To make room for Benson, the Bengals cut cornerback Morgan Trent.

Trent is a third-year player from Michigan who played in the first six games of the season and was inactive for the last game against the Seattle Seahawks.
