In order to create a roster spot for wide receiver T.J. Houshmandzadeh on the Oakland Raiders, wide receiver Derek Hagan was discarded. Hagan started twice and caught 11 passes for 114 yards. Hagan is a former Miami Dolphins third-round draft pick from Arizona State.

Hagan, 27, has caught 96 career passes for 1,083 yards and five touchdowns. He has also played for the New York Giants.
