The Washington Redskins cut veteran wide receiver Donte' Stallworth today to make room for former Houston Texans wide receiver David Anderson. Stallworth caught only five passes for 46 yards this season after signing a one-year deal during training camp.

The former New Orleans Saints first-round draft pick has also played for the Philadelphia Eagles, Cleveland Browns and the Baltimore Ravens. The former University of Tennessee standout was suspended by the league for the entire 2009 season after pleading guilty to driving under the influence manslaughter charges in Miami Beach, Fla.

He returned to the NFL with the Ravens last year, but was rarely utilized after breaking the fifth metatarsal bone in his foot.

He caught only two passes for 82 yards.
