Due to a shoulder injury that required a magnetic resonance imaging exam that had "good" results, Carolina Panthers rookie quarterback Cam Netwon was a Saturday addition to the injury report, according to the Charlotte Observer. Per the report, Newton dealt with soreness in his throwing shoulder at practice this week.

Drafted first overall out of Auburn, the former Heisman Trophy winner is still set to play Sunday against the Tennessee Titans.

Newton is off to a fast start this season, passing for 2,393 yards, 11 touchdowns and nine interceptions for an 87.1 passer rating.
