The St. Louis Rams claimed quarterback Kellen Clemens off waivers from the Houston Texans. Clemens was released by the Texans when they signed quarterback Jeff Garcia. Clemens is a former New York Jets starter who was demoted to third string once the team installed Mark Brunell as the backup.

The Rams have quarterback health issues with Sam Bradford still banged-up.
