The Buffalo Bills have signed offensive tackle Erik Pears to a contract extension. Financial terms were undisclosed. A seven-year NFL veteran, has started all 13 games this year as part of an offensive line that has allowed an NFL-low 17 sacks and blocked for an AFC-best 4.8 yards per rushing attempt.

A 6-foot-8, 314-pound Colorado State product, Pears entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent with the Denver Broncos in 2005.

He has started 44 of 59 games played with stints with the Broncos and Oakland Raiders prior to joining the Bills as a free agent on Dec. 14, 2010.
