New England Patriots Pro Bowl tight end Rob Gronkowski underwent
arthroscopic surgery to repair damage to his left ankle, a league
source confirmed.
Gronkowski had surgery Friday morning.
The procedure is regarded as a success and he's expected to take 10
weeks to recover.
Gronkowski suffered a high ankle sprain in the AFC championship game
when he was tackled by Baltimore Ravens strong safety Bernard Pollard.
Gronkowski struggled in the Patriots' Super Bowl defeat to the New York Giants and was limited to two receptions for 26 yards.
