Road to the NFL Draft: Dwayne Allen

Former Clemson tight end Dwayne Allen has been working out at the Athletes' Performance Institute in Phoenix, Arizona in preparation for the NFL Combine and Draft.

One would be surprised to find out former Clemson tight end Dwayne Allen didn't step onto a football field until his freshman year of high school, after a hunch from his football coach brought him onto the team.

A few seasons later, the North Carolina native had made a name for himself on the east coast and after receiving offers from around the country and an initial commitment to Georgia, Allen knew the Tigers were the right fit as soon as he stepped onto campus.

During the last two years of his collegiate career, Allen proved he was a force to be reckoned with and was named the 2011 recipient of the John Mackey Award.

Allen has been preparing for the next chapter of his life at the Athletes' Performance Institute in Phoenix, Arizona, where FOX Sports NEXT caught up with him about the Tigers, his training, and more:
