Former Memphis defensive tackle Dontari Poe has been working out at the Athletes' Performance Institute in Phoenix, Arizona in preparation for the NFL Combine and Draft.

Former Memphis defensive tackle Dontari Poe didn't venture far from home when he made his collegiate decision, but he did make some noise for the Tigers.

The self-proclaimed "beast" on the field is proud to be representing his alma mater as he has been training at the Athletes' Performance Institute in Phoenix, Arizona.

One of only five Tigers who started every game in the 2011 season, Poe was named the team's Most Valuable Player as well as the Defensive Player of the Year.

With only a few months left until the 2012 Draft, Poe talks with FOX Sports NEXT about playing football in the south, his career with the Tigers, and what it really means to be only a few weeks away from making his NFL dreams a reality:
