The Cleveland Browns locked up inside linebacker D'Qwell Jackson, signing him to a five-year, $42.5 million contract. That includes $19 million in guaranteed money. He recorded a career-high 158 tackles and 3 1/2 sacks with one interception last season.

Jackson was a candidate for a $8.5 million franchise tag if a deal was unable to be worked out. Jackson was the runnerup for NFL Comeback Player of the Year behind Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford.
