Chad Henne deal worth $6.75 million

The Jacksonville Jaguars are paying backup quarterback Chad Henne decent money to provide a challenge to incumbent Blaine Gabbert. According to a league source, Henne's two-year deal is worth $6.75 million and includes a $3 million signing bonus and annual $50,000 workout bonuses. Henne ended last season on injured reserve with a separated non-throwing shoulder.

Henne completed 57.1 percent of his throws for 868 yards, four touchdowns and four interceptions before his season was ended prematurely after four games.

A former second-round draft pick from Michigan, the 6-foot-3, 230-pounder has passed for 7,114 career yards, 31 touchdowns and 37 interceptions for a 75.7 quarterback rating.
