Veteran offensive lineman Robert Gallery has agreed in principle to a one-year contract with the New England Patriots, a league source with knowledge of the situation confirmed. Gallery was recently cut by the Seattle Seahawks after starting a dozen games last season. He has started 103 career games.

Gallery was drafted second overall in 2004 and eventually emerged as a well-respected offensive guard after not making the grade as a left offensive tackle.
