The Pittsburgh Steelers agreed to a one-year contract with veteran quarterback Byron Leftwich.
Leftwich spent last season on injured reserve with a broken arm.
A former Jacksonville Jaguars first-round draft pick from Marshall, Leftwich has also played for the Atlanta Falcons, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and three seasons with the Steelers.

Leftwich has played in six games for Pittsburgh, completing 26-of-43 passes for 345 yards, two touchdowns, no interceptions and a passer rating of 101.4.
In his first nine years in the NFL, Leftwich started 49-of-55 games played and has 10,260 passing yards and 58 touchdowns with a passer rating of 79.7.
