The Washington Redskins cut veteran quarterback John Beck over the weekend. The Redskins no longer needed Beck on the roster once they drafted Kirk Cousins with Rex Grossman already on the roster.

Last season, the former Brigham Young standout and Miami Dolphins second-round draft pick passed for 858 yards, two touchdowns and four interceptions in three starts.

Beck was due a $1 million base salary this season after signing a two-year, $3.51 million contract two years ago.
