Veteran defensive tackle Gerard Warren is rejoining the New England Patriots, a league source confirmed. Warren recorded 12 tackles and a sack in a dozen games last season. The 6-foot-4, 330-pounder has 335 tackles, 36 1/2 sacks and seven forced fumbles. Drafted third overall by the Cleveland Browns in 2001, Warren has previous stints with the Denver Broncos and the Oakland Raiders.

Two seasons ago in New England, he finished with 28 tackles and 3 1/2 sacks in 10 starts.

With Warren, 33, under contract, the Patriots get another big, strong, experienced defensive lineman.
