Colts and Broncos swap players
Gronkowski was signed by the Colts on Sept. 4, 2011. He played in seven games before being placed on injured reserve on Oct. 26.
Gronkowski is a third-year player who has seen action in 21 games with seven starts with the Dallas Cowboys and Colts.
His career totals include five rushes for 17 yards and seven receptions for 35 yards with one touchdown.
Signed by the Cowboys as a college free agent two years ago, Gronkowski started at the University of Arizona after transferring from the University of Maryland.
Gronkowski is the brother of New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski and Cleveland Browns tight end Dan Gronkowski.
