St. Louis Rams quarterback Sam Bradford quietly restructured his original rookie contract earlier this month, according to a league source with knowledge of the deal.

The contract was renegotiated on May 9.

Bradford's salary cap figure for 2012 is still $15.6 million with a guaranteed base salary of $6 million and a roster bonus of $6 million that was already paid to the former Oklahoma star on May 11.

He was initially due a $12 million guaranteed base salary but $6 million of that figure was converted into the roster bonus.

In 2013, Bradford is still due a base salary of $9 million. Of that figure, $8 million is fully guaranteed for skill, injury and cap.

Bradford triggered that base salary for 2013 through his rookie performance two years ago.

His salary-cap figure for 2013 is $12.6 million.

In 2014, Bradford is due a non-guaranteed $14 million base salary with a $17.6 million salary-cap figure.

In the final year of his contract in 2015, Bradford is due a non-guaranteed $13 million base salary with a $16.6 million salary-cap figure.

Bradford's contract includes annual $666,666 in incentives based on making the Pro Bowl or being ranked among the top five quarterbacks.

The total remaining value of the contract over the next four years is $48 million and includes $20 million in guaranteed money.
