Justin Forsett joins Texans

Former Seattle Seahawks running back Justin Forsett has joined the Houston Texans, according to Forsett. Forsett made the announcement on Twitter.

Forsett tried out for the Texans earlier this week, according to a league source. Forsett, 26, rushed for 145 yards and one touchdown last season.

The former Cal standout also caught 23 passes for 128 yards. Two years ago, Forsett rushed for 523 yards and two touchdowns and caught 33 passes for 252 yards.

He set a career-high in 2009 in Seattle with 619 rushing yards and four touchdowns and 41 receptions for 350 yards and one touchdown. Forsett is a versatile 5-foot-8, 198-pounder who began his career with the Indianapolis Colts.
