NFL suspends Bears DT Nate Collins
Collins was arrested earlier this offseason following a traffic stop in Northern Virginia where he was pulled over for an illegal window tint.
The officer discovered an odor or marijuana and marijuana was found after he consented to a vehicle search.
Collins was signed to a one-year contract in May after playing in 13 games for the Jacksonville Jaguars over the previous two seasons.
Collins joined the New York Giants in 2010 after playing collegiately at the University of Virginia.
Collins previously visited the Seattle Seahawks. Collins was with Jaguars before they removed their qualifying offer.
Collins, 24, is a 6-foot-2, 296-pound former University of Virginia player who had 10 tackles and a half-sack in 12 games last season. For more coverage of the NFL, go to profootball.scout.com.
