Trent Richardson to see Dr. James Andrews

Cleveland Browns running back Trent Richardson is headed to the doctor. Richardson is the Browns' top draft pick selected third overall out of Alabama, and he's been dealing with swelling in his left knee. He's on his way to Pensacola, Fla. to have the knee evaluated by Dr. James Andrews.

"Trent Richardson is traveling to Pensacola, Fla., where he will have his left knee further evaluated by Dr. James Andrews tomorrow," Browns coach Pat Shurmur said in a statement.

Richardson had arthroscopic surgery in February, and it's possible he might need further work on the knee.

A Browns offense without Richardson could have trouble moving the football.

"We're evaluating it," Shurmur told Cleveland reporters this week. "There's a chance he won't play on Friday. I'm always concerned about injuries, but at this point we'll just find out what it is. He's been practicing well. Just a little sore."
