Bradie Ewing to injured reserve

The Atlanta Falcons lost rookie fullback Bradie Ewing to a torn anterior cruciate ligament and placed him on injured reserve. They signed veteran fullback Lousaka Polite to replace him.

Polite was with the New England Patriots last season and has previous stints with the Dallas Cowboys, Chicago Bears and Miami Dolphins.

Ovie Mughelli signed with the St. Louis Rams recently.

The Falcons signed tight end Chase Coffman.

Coffman is a former Cincinnati Bengals third-round draft pick.

Meanwhile, the Falcons cut tight end Adam Nissley and punter Dawson Zimmerman.
