Aaron Berry suspended for three games

The NFL suspended former Detroit Lions cornerback Aaron Berry for violating the league's personal conduct policy. The Lions terminated his contract after he was arrested twice in Harrisburg, Pa., in one month. He was charged with three counts of simple assault for brandishing a firearm.

He also has a pending driving under the influence case where he ran into other cars and was charged with two counts of failure to stop and give information.

Berry was a starter before he was cut.

Meanwhile, the Lions waived-injured safety Don Carey and tight end Nathan Overbay.
