Jim Leonhard passes physical

Denver Broncos safety Jim Leonhard has passed his physical and been activated to practice. Leonhard tore his anterior cruciate ligament last December and had surgery to repair the damage. Leonhard had 48 tackles and one interception in 13 starts last season for the New York Jets.

The 5-foot-8, 188-pound former Wisconsin standout has 324 tackles, six interceptions and two forced fumbles for his career.

He has also played for the Baltimore Ravens.
