Chiefs tried out Sampson Genus

The Kansas City Chiefs tried out former Green Bay Packers center Sampson Genus, according to a league source. Genus, a 6-foot-1, 315-pounder, played collegiately at South Florida. Genus was an All-Big East Conference second-team selection

He spent time on the Packers' practice squad last season.
