Andre Gurode tried out for Lions today

Former Dallas Cowboys Pro Bowl center Andre Gurode worked out for the Detroit Lions today, according to a league source. Gurode played last season for the Baltimore Ravens. Gurode was signed to provide depth behind six-time Pro Bowl center Matt Birk, who had surgery on his left knee at the beginning of training camp

Gurode was cut by the Cowboys last year for salary-cap reasons.

He visited the Seattle Seahawks, Lions and the New England Patriots before agreeing to terms with the Ravens.
