Scouting Report: DeJaun Green

Scouting Report: DeJaun Green

Name: DeJaun Green School: South Florida Year: 5Sr
Ht: 5-10 Wt: 200 40: 4.51 Pos: RB

Bio: Former University of Georgia transfer who moved into the starting lineup last season then led the team in rushing, carrying the ball 113 times for 490 yards with 5 scores, while also adding 9 receptions. Junior totals at USF were 61/192/1.

Pos: Quick, elusive runner that creates when the ball is in his hands. Slippery, displays a burst through the hole and springs off defenders or bounces it to the outside, quickly finding the slightest bit of running room on the field. Effective around tackle, runs with good body control and a solid athlete.

Neg: Must pick up the intensity when called upon to block as well as improve his hands and become a threat in the passing game. Not strong on the inside and lacks the pure size/speed numbers. Has a history of knee and foot injuries, which caused him to miss time on the sidelines.

Analysis: Green could be a solid situational or third down back but he must step up every level of his game and most importantly remain healthy. A longshot at this point.
