Scouting Report: Brandon Miree

Scouting Report: Brandon Miree

Name: Brandon Miree School Pittsburgh Year 5Sr
Ht: 5-11 Wt: 230 40: 4.65 Pos: RB

Bio: Former Alabama transfer coming off an injury plagued senior season. Suffered a stress fracture in his leg last season, playing in only six games yet still led the team with rushing numbers of 115/573/6, adding 16/130/1 receiving. Started eight games as a junior and totaled 214/943/4 on the ground with 11/123 catching the ball.

Pos: Nice sized interior ball carrier that runs hard between tackle. Displays vision, patience and gets to the outside dodging defenders. Also strong, aggressive and picks up yardage off initial contact. Drives up the field, does not go down without a fight and works to finish runs. Adequate hands out of the backfield and also blocks.

Neg: Not quick through the hole, lacks a burst of speed and much elusiveness. Durability will come into question.

Analysis: Miree was a prospect many thought would make a big move up draft charts as a senior but the injury suffered season's start dampened that outlook. Possesses the natural skills to be a solid player at the next level but durability concerns will now push him deep into the draft.
