Scouting Report: Bryce Bishop
Name: Bryce Bishop School Ohio State Year 5Sr
Ht: 6-2 Wt: 312 40: 5.23 Pos: G
Bio: Three year starter hampered during the 2003 campaign with injury. Played every game at right guard his sophomore and junior seasons.
Pos: Athletic run blocker that can be an explosive force. Plays with a wide base, forward lean and a strong lineman that turns defenders from the action. Quick if asked to kick out or pull and displays adequate skills blocking in motion. Jolts opponents at the point, stuns them with good hand punch and adjusts well on the move.
Neg: Must work harder to finish blocks and does a lot of standing around at times. Plays back on his heels. Marginal skills sliding laterally.
Analysis: Possessing the body type, strength and athleticism to succeed at the next level, Bishop could be one of the better values in the late rounds of this draft. Did not have the senior campaign that was expected but has the abilities to be productive at the next level.
