The offensive center position just got a little
better and speed was added to the wide out spot as a pair of juniors have
decided to enter the draft.
As we first alluded to last Thursday,
'Ole Miss center Chris Spencer is telling people he will officially enter the
draft. The explosive blocker received good reports back from the NFL
Advisory Committee which gave him the impetus to make his final decision.
It is very possible that Spencer could be the second center drafted after Jason Brown of North Carolina. His previous experience at guard will only
enhance his ranking.
Utah receiver Steve Savoy will follow Alex Smith out of Utah as he has declared for the draft as well. The speedy
wide out average 14.3 yards on 67 receptions, 11 resulting in scores.
Finally, word out of Southern California has
offensive tackle Winston Justice reversing course and now seriously considering
entering the draft. Several we spoke with said Justice has had a change of
heart recently, especially with the speculation of Trojan head coach Pete
Carroll potentially moving back to the NFL.
