Prospect Profile: Daniel Loper
Ht: 6-6 Wt: 306 40: 5.38 Year: 5Sr
Bio: Full-time starter the past three seasons after playing five games with the first unit as a freshman. Awarded varying degrees of All-Conference honors since his sophomore campaign.
Positives: Large lineman best in a small area. Patient in pass protection, keeps his feet moving throughout the action and effectively uses angles. Strong at the point and turns opponents off the ball. Displays an excellent feel for the position. Good hand jolt and knocks opponents from their angle of attack.
Negatives: Not quick or explosive off the snap. Lacks blocking range and has difficulty sliding out to protect the edge.
Analysis: A durable and competitive collegiate lineman, Loper is built for the strong side. Offers size potential yet must learn to block with leverage to have any chance of sticking at the next level.
