'06 NFL Draft Watch: East Carolina

The next generation takes over as Skip Holtz becomes the head coach at East Carolina. A once competitive program which recently fell on hard times, the team has several defensive players to keep an eye on.

Scouting C-USA: East Carolina

Linebacker Chris Moore is a heady and instinctive defender who immediately reads the action and locates the ball. Taking good angles the play Moore is efficient and always works to get involved in the play. Undersized and slow adjusting off the initial block, Moore has marginal size\speed numbers. Safety Zach Baker is an instinctive  defensive back who flies up the field in run defense. A limited athlete, he has marginal skills in coverage and does not possess great upside. Outside linebacker Richard Koonce is another senior to keep an eye on.
