Athletic prospect whose play has recently leveled off
at the quarterback position. Possesses
a live arm, zips passes into targets or easily makes the throw on
the move. Sets up with solid footwork, looks downfield and drives passes with a flick of
the rest. Picks up a lot of yardage with his legs. Puts
touch on throws when necessary.

Must significantly improve his downfield
accuracy and overall pass placement. Not
poised under pressure, incorrectly reads the defense and forces
the ball into coverage.
Analysis:
Initially looking like a star in the making
as a sophomore, Smith's play has leveled off the past few seasons. May
ultimately change positions and could be used as a receiver.
Underlying athletic
skills make him worth a look.
