2006 NFL Draft Audio: D.J. Shockley

Posted Feb 16, 2006

A one-year starter at Georgia, quarterback D.J. Shockley is viewed by many NFL teams as being a bit raw, especially given his 55.2 percent completion percentage for the Bulldogs. A natural athlete, he has displayed strong leadership skills and sound decision-making - traits that scouts and coaches adore when turnovers are often the difference between a win and a loss.

The 6-1, 214-pound Shockley led Georgia to the 2005 SEC Championship in his only season as the team’s starting quarterback, throwing for 2,588 yards and an SEC-leading 24 TD’s while earning first-team All-SEC honors this year.

Shockley connected on 153-of-277 passing attempts for 2,311 yards and was intercepted just five times this past season.

Shockley sat down with us to discuss many topics, including Senior Bowl week, if he considers himself to be an unfinished product and his future in the NFL:
