Overall DeAngelo Williams had a good day. He was timed anywhere from 4.40-4.44
during his two runnings of the forty and performed well. While he had a bit of a tough time in pass catching drills,
scouts had the practice quarterback, former Memphis passer Danny Wimprine, purposely throw errant passes to see if
Williams could come up with the grab.
We expect more info to come out of Memphis shortly.
Out in Long Island 23 teams sent scouts to watch one of the true sleepers in April's
draft workout on campus at Hofstra.
Willie Colon has slowly been creeping up draft boards and performed well today
for NFL decision makers. Measuring 6'-3"/328-pounds, Colon ran a 5.34-forty, posted a 29-inch vertical jump, and
completed 28-reps on the bench.
The Jets and Dolphins sent multiple scouts to watch Colon workout.
