Seattle Seahawks
Kelly Jennings has the ability to shut-down the opposition at
cornerback. He lacks a physical nature to his game but in the end Jennings was a
solid choice with the 31st pick and will develop into a starter once
he completes his game. The team wanted to add depth at defensive end and went
with Darryl Tapp in the second round. While we feel pick number 63 was a
bit early for Tapp, his combination of intensity and pass rush skills will work
well for the Hawks. Rob Sims was solid value in round four and could
develop into a starter. David Kirtman was chosen early then expected in
round five but his offensive skills and pass catching abilities are a good fit.
We are not big on Ben Obomanu but considering his size, speed and upside
potential, he was worth the risk of a seventh round selection. Obomanu is the
type of prospect Mike Holmgren can develop.
