If he remains healthy and his hip holds out, Jason Allen was excellent
value at pick number 16. One of the most complete defensive backs in the nation,
Allen has a history with Dolphin head coach Nick Saban, who tried to recruit the
secondary player out of high school high school. Derek Hagan had been
dropping since January but was a bargain in round three. He has the tools to
develop into a very productive third wide out in the NFL. Joe Toledo
could be great value in the fourth if he stays healthy and continues to develop
his game. Though a typical boom or bust prospect and a player not well liked, Rod Wright was worth the risk of a seventh round pick.
