NFL Draft '07: Scouting Duke

A program that can't seem to get out of its own way, Duke is likely to suffer through another miserable campaign in 2006.

The team offers two solid prospects on defense.

John Talley is a nice sized cornerback who plays with good instincts.  Quickly reading receivers eyes, Talley gets his head back around and locates the ball.  He also displays a good sense of timing and anticipation.  Best backed off the line scrimmage or in zone defense, Talley has late round potential.  Eli Nichols is an explosive pass rusher who causes a lot of problems for opponents.  Not well known because of the poor record at Duke, Nichols is another late round prospect.
