Texas Christian Horned Frogs
A trio of receivers could get draft consideration with big
senior campaigns and the headliner of the group is Adrian Madise, a
legitimate game breaker when the ball is in his hands. Madise really picked up
his game last season and is a nice sized wide out with relatively consistent
hands, playing faster than he times in the forty. He is poised to make a big
jump up draft boards should he capitalize on last season and take his game to
the next level; all which could result in a first day selection. LaTarence
Dunbar also needs to do the same but in a much more drastic way as he is
also an adequately sized wide out that’s flashed abilities since he was a
sophomore but displayed minimal consistency. Dunbar’s skills returning kicks
are a plus. The final receiver is Terran Williams who, like offensive
lineman Brady Barrick, is considered a free agent but could change that
perception if play is upgraded during their final college season.
Defensively LaMarcus McDonald is the top senior and a
heady run-stuffer effective making plays up the field, deceptively strong at the
point and very aggressive in his attitude towards the game. Problem for McDonald
are his terrible size/speed numbers and though he is built more like a weak-side
linebacker, (some even think strong-safety) his skills in pass defense are very
limited. Jason Goss is an adequate cover-corner with skills as a return
specialist and safety Kenneth Hilliard has flashed on occasion, enough to
keep him on the radar screen.
